Kyra and Krystina Wendelken of Long Island NY, began their classical ballet training at a very young age. During their childhood and training with their mother Jacqueline Jaramillo, then, on staff at the Seiskaya ballet school and Academy, Kyra and Krystina quickly became promising young students. At the age of 10 both dancers were offered full scholarships to attend the Orlando ballet school in Orlando Florida, awarded by school director Peter Stark. While training in FL, various performance opportunities were possible. Both young ladies appeared in the professional companies performances such as Mid Summers Night Dream, works and staged by Bruce Wells, Nutcracker Suite, choreography by Fernando Bujones, directed by Bruce Marks, and Peter and the Wolf, directed and staged by Robert Hill. Also, as students, danced Demi soloist parts of Giselle and Paquita Pas de trios. While gaining technical experience, Kyra and Krystina participated regularly in intense ballet competitions like, YAGP, Youth America Grand Prix and American Dance Competition. Both dancers placing in top 12 and receiving numerous scholarships. More recently the Valentina Koslova International Ballet Competition in NY city, dancing classical Pas de Deux and "Underwater" contemporary quartet choreography by Mimmo Miccolis, awarded repeatedly, "best choreographer" at YAGP.
